What’s an Environmental Detox, you ask? It’s a concept I teach to my clients inside BARE DAILY.
To sum it up quickly: you examine your environment (physical environment, media/digital environment, and social environment) and you ask yourself, “What feels good? What doesn’t? Is there anything in my environment that feels exhausting, disempowering, stressful, or toxic?” (Most likely: the answer is “Uh, YES.”)
Anything that drains your power, you find a way to clear it OUT.
I always tell my clients, “When you do an Environmental Detox, you will lose 10,000 pounds of emotional weight. You’ll feel lighter and happier immediately. This makes it a whole lot easier to lose physical weight, too (… if that’s something you want to do).”
Once you’ve detoxed your environment, you’ll have so much space in your calendar, space on your Internet browser, space in your inbox, space on your bookshelf.
And then, with all of that beautiful space, you can thoughtfully fill your environment with a few new things—things that energize you instead of draining you.

Outlander
Magic portals. Fairies. Druids. Time-traveling. Sexy Scotsmen wearing kilts… I mean C’MON PEOPLE. Need I say more?! The TV show is amazing… and the books are equally great! You can watch Outlander on Starz or Amazon.
Poldark
Dramatic. Romantic. Incredible cinematography with sweeping cliffs, rolling emerald hills, and coastlines in Cornwall and the Cotswolds… and let’s not forget sexy, brooding Ross Poldark. HELLO! You can watch the first season for free if you’ve got an Amazon Prime account.
I am so obsessed with this show. My obsession is truly out of control. I am literally taking a group of clients to England to visit Poldark filming locations and drink hot toddies and have high tea to celebrate the Royal Wedding, and yes, you can join us!
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
A show about a 1950s housewife who decides to become a stand-up comic, breaking into a male-dominated industry. LOVE THIS. It’s so inspiring to watch the lead character realize that she’s got talent and she’s not going to wait around any longer—it’s time to get onstage and shine. You can watch this show for free if you have an Amazon Prime account.
